MAGIC provides an opportunity for collaboration with other problem solvers from around the world. At the International Conference, MAGIC competitors are assigned to teams by division. Each team includes no more than one student from the same affiliate registration.
Participants registered for this competition must be experienced in Global Issues competitions, well versed in the problem-solving process, and be able to converse with their team members in English. If translation of written materials is desired, this should be noted during registration. MAGIC students do not have to be the same division as the other competitors.
MAGIC teams complete a shorter version of the Global Issues competition in a paper booklet. It requires eight challenges, eight solution ideas, and a shortened grid. FPSOnline is not an available option for MAGIC at our world finals.
